This is the time of year to reflect, and I am thrilled to be here. I look back on 2016 content with the decisions I've made. Some panned out better than others, but I am in no position to complain. I am a member of an amazing family, my husband is ridiculously good-looking, and keeps growing more handsome every passing day, and my stepdaughter is proud of me. All is well.
Following are a few highlights of 2016 I’d like to share:
We celebrated 10 years of marriage in November.
I became an Aunt again. My sister Mary is by far the mightier Kelly girl.
The first time I met my niece, Teagan.
I worked on the #1 movie in America for 2 weeks in a row, BOO! A Madea Halloween
I love my job.
I acknowledged that I care more about being a great triathlete than a good triathlete. Then I asked for help.
HITS Half ironman triathlon - 1st in 35 -39 AG, 4th Overall Female
I made new friends and reconnected with old ones all over the country.
Bridal Uber ride, both efficient and classy.
I misplaced my run speed, and then found it again.
Ironman Lake Placid, #10.
I witnessed the moment my husband reached this mind-blowing, yet well-deserved, career milestone:
Hi Marion,
After getting the OK from FOX and now also from Roland I wanted to let you know that your name will be submitted as one of the four names to the Academy, the British Academy and the Visual Effects Society for the “Best Visual Effects” categories. Roland wrote back to me “I like that Marion made the list!”
Marion is one of the film's nominees for Best Visual Effects. BIG time.:)
I discovered the most flattering pair of jeans I have ever worn, and then bought several pairs, because when you look good, you feel good.
My favorite New England bride celebrating in Austin. Gap 1969
I fell in love with swimming.
HITS Half ironman triathlon - Exiting a 50 something degree water swim. This is the look of a frigid red head.
I’m not fast, but I am enjoying the work to get there.
I found the core idea I want to share with the world, and then crafted my signature story.
Sharing my story with athletes at the OC triathlon.
I am thankful for all of the memories made in 2016, and can’t wait to live what's next in 2017.
Onward.
