I’ve been awake for hours.
Too many.
It’s Tuesday morning, and truthfully, until about nine minutes ago, I wasn’t sure what to write about this week. I thought I might have overloaded my word-count last week, so I thought I’d dial it back a bit and instead share a sneak peek into my next book….
Last Friday was a very significant anniversary. Yes, you’re right, it was one of the four significant anniversaries of my relationship with Marion, (we met on April 26th, 2004), but that is not what I am referring to, rather it was the two year anniversary of the gutsiest email I have ever sent. I asked a question, the question that had been burning a hole in my soul for years; to the only person I believed could answer it with any authority.
However, what gives that day weight is not the answer I received, but that I had the gumption to ask the question at all.
That is why that day, April 26th, 2017, is the place in time where I am starting my next book, Finally By Forty, I’m Just Getting Started, because that was day that I realized my story was far from over.
Cut to this past Saturday, April 27th, 2019, it was confirmed, (from myself to myself), that there is a lot left of that story to live and tell.
Intrigued??? Me too.
My song pick this week is “Hard Place” from H.E.R. It’s incredible. Enjoy.:)
