Hellloooo! Merry Christmas week! First off, I want to follow up with my mysterious post last week and report that the shoot went well, but the work isn’t complete. The job I was doing has dripped into this week, which is great, but I am grateful to have a more mellow than usual Christmas week in order to fit it all in. Also, this experience has served as a reminder of how much we can accomplish in 24 hours as long as we don’t indulge in that pesky pastime called sleep.
Furthermore, I want to follow up on the changes I alluded to making with my blog in 2021. The first one is a biggie, it took a while to decide, but I feel good about it…. I will no longer post every Tuesday. Therefore, next week will be the Martini Tuesday post. I will keep my blog going, but I want it to be driven by inspiration versus self-prescribed obligation.
I have grown a lot as a writer posting this blog every Tuesday for the last three years, and even though I value the power of sharing our personal stories above anything else, doing so introduces a tremendous amount of anxiety, and I want a break from that weekly stress. Also, I want to steer those skills toward long form projects, (books, screenplay, movies, etc), that I can toil away on and revise before sharing with the world. Simply, I want to follow the rhythm of my heart, and the rhythm is changing.
Also, I plan to write and share more Vegan dishes on my website and expand more on my nutrition during training and everyday life. I credit a lot of my hamstring recovery to the nutrition regimen I adopted in August, and I want to keep that momentum going while sharing insights along the way. This Saturday, 12/26, will be my eighteen year anniversary living a planted-based lifestyle; I have learned a lot, and I want to share that knowledge with anyone and everyone who is pondering hopping down the plant-based path.

Finally, I am going to write and post book reviews on my website. These entries will be a more in depth version of what I currently do every month on my “Book Haul” posts on social media. One of my favorite pastimes is matching people with books, and I want my website to be a trusted resource for quality literature in endurance sports, nutrition, memoir, business, psychology, self-help, and fiction, (although, I need to read more fiction).
Before I go, I want to remind you that the window to donate to my DIY Iron(WO)man fundraiser for the Michael J. Fox Foundation is closing on 12/31/20, so if you, or someone you know would still like to DONATE, (we're nearly at $12,000), CLICK HERE:
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, it will be different, but memorable.:)
The song and video choice this week has become a yearly tradition on my blog, it never gets old, it is my ALL-TIME favorite Christmas song, Band Aid’s, Feed The World.
